Within the next five minutes Lansing Christian scored two more quick goals, with Cook scoring again followed by a tally teammate Nate Hagy.
The Academy defense and goal keeper Peter Sullivan were under fire the entire game and did their best against an experienced opponent.

Lansing Chr. 3
Hillsdale 1
The Hornets dropped the SMAA contest 16-25, 14-25, 25-21, 25-21 against an improved Pilgrims squad, according to Hillsdale head coach Sumer Way.
"It was clear Lansing Christian's team has improved over the past couple of weeks, and finally in the third set tonight it appeared Hillsdale had as well," Way said in an e-mail. "However seeing as it took us until the third set to come alive, we struggled to win the fourth and thus the match."
Lindsey Rumler led the team in kills with eight and Taylor Mann had a team-high 11 digs.
Hannah Cleveland had 10 digs and six kills.
Quincy 3
Centreville 2
The Orioles dropped the first two sets, but bounced back for the win against non-conference opponent Centreville. The scores of the games were 23-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-8, 16-14 in favor of Quincy.
"We were just up and down, and it's not easy to figure out why as a coach," Quincy head coach Dean Neitzert said. "It boils down to ball control and when we make good plays and put the ball right on the spot we're good, but when we're not we get ourselves in trouble."
Alix Neitzert had 17 digs and 16 kills for Quincy, while Kelsey Letendre had eight kills and eight assists.
Joslyn Dwyer added 14 kills and three solo blocks for the Orioles who are 24-9-3 overall.
