The Ann Arbor News and Monroe News have both reported that Milan junior volleyball star Bekah Draves, a 6-1 outside hitter, has commited to play volleyball for Chris and Stephanie Gravel beginning in the fall of 2010.
Per the Monroe News: Draves earned All-Huron League and Monroe County All-Region honors this past season while averaging 8.2 kills, 3.0 digs and leading the Big Reds with 76 aces. She also was named MVP of Milan's inaugural girls tennis team last spring.
She has been playing volleyball since the third grade. In the fifth grade, she began playing on school teams coached by her mother, Karen, at Ann Arbor St. Paul.
The family moved to Milan just before the start of Bekah's freshman year. Her older sister, Sarah, an Ypsilanti High School graduate, was a standout volleyball player at the University of Michigan.
