Finally some Charger softball coverage - but not from the HDN, sorry

To say there is no coverage of the Hillsdale College softball team is an understatement, but sometimes a one-man sports desk coupled with 13 area high schools will put those kinds of things on the back-burner.

Anyways I was perusing the Web and found a nice feature article on an incoming Charger softbal recruit, Miriam McKay of Anchor Bay.

It basically talks about how academically and athletically Hillsdale College just fit the mold she was looking for, even though they weren't at the top of her list until after a campus visit. That seems to be extremely normal and the college has found a way to get "their types" of people to come continue the tradition at their school. I am continually impressed by the Hillsdale way and have met only a few athletes who seemed to be steering of in a bit of their own direction, as opposed to sticking to the college's ideals.

Anyways, here's a link to the story from the New Baltimore Voice: http://www.voicenews.com/stories/040109/loc_20090401006.shtml
